Como arreglar el index.php en CodeIgniter

Comenzare explicando que CodeIgniter es un Framework (es decir un marco de trabajo) Web basado PHP sencillo de configurar e implementar y muy compacto por eso mismo carece de algunas cosas, como el sistema de autenticación, etc.

Bueno para quienes lograron desplegar su aplicación habrán notado algo interesante. CodeIgniter tiene un archivo de control principal de la aplicación que es la que recibe toda las peticiones y según nuestra configuración muestra en el navegador las paginas correspondientes.

Es por esto que en nuestras url tenemos el dichoso index.php antes de las urls respectivas hacia nuestras paginas, para arreglar o "eliminar" eso de nuestras urls.
tenemos que agregar en nuestro proyecto un archivo .htaccess para sobreescribir ese comportamiento.

Este archivo .htaccess no tienen ninguna extensión y contiene lo siguiente:
